Default Harness Bar For C5 Convertible

Does anybody make a harness bar for C5 Convertibles? I have looked at the Sharkbar and the Brey-Krause bars, but they are just for coupes (correct?). Anybody make one for the convertibles? Thanks for any suggestions.

A harness bar on a 'vert would be a dangerous proposition in a roll-over if you were strapped in with a 4 or 6 pt. Harness. Some HPDE events, like SCCA clubs do not permit them in coupes. Don't know about Auto-x, but I would not strap into a 'vert that did not have an approved roll bar system.

Thanks for the quick reply. Obviously, you are correct...I had not thought about it relative to a turn over. The problem I was trying to address it that during spirited driving, I slide all over the seat. I have a 1987 Corvette that has the locking lap belt. I wish my C5 had that. Thanks again for your response.

on a C5 you can pull the lap belt all the way out and when it retracts, it will lock the seat portion of the belt. Also, if you want to just "stick to the seat", go to Lowes and in the tool section they will have a roll of the perforated rubber tool box drawer liner material. Get a roll and cut a piece about 18 inches long. lay it in the seat and a few inches up the back. You don't need it all the way to the front, just where your lower back and butt hits the seat. It will be like you are glued into the seat and it won't hurt your clothes or the seat. If you use it too far to the front, it will interfere with your thigh movement during braking and clutching. There you need a little slide.

The white stuff for kitchen shelves is the same, but who wants white on a black seat.
