I am the new owner of a 198 C5 with he power seat / memory option. Yesterday, I noticed that the rear up/down motor did not seem to operate. This is not top of my list - it is still quite drivable. BUT, is there any place I can find good step-by-step for seat removal?
Bob
I don't know of a specific thread for this, but if you do a search using your preferred search engine for "C5 rocking seat" you should find plenty of step-by-step instructions on how to remove the seat.

I have a post about 18 down from your post called Driver seat arrgg
it has a video of the seat from start to finish. a member posted it on my question about seat. Hope that helps
I would just like to point out that the forward and backward motor of my '99 worked intermittently when I bought it. My immediate impression was that it was a broken wire. The seller and information on the forum pointed me to a bad seat module. I did a lot of messing around and eliminated the seat module, the switch and the motor as the cause. In the end it was a broken wire in the seat module connector.
