I have some serious electrical issues going on here.
1: The passenger side door is not getting any power. The window is down and it won't roll up, the lock won't respond, it's just getting no power. It use to go off and on, now it's stuck this way.
2: Last Tuesday I was driving home in 110 oF weather and all of the following happened at once. The radio shut off. The oil pressure gauge pegged to zero - temp gauge pegged to HOT - fuel gauge pegged to empty - volts gauge pegged to zero, Every DIC message went crazy "Reduce Engine Power" , "Check tire Pressure" , etc.. etc....
THEN: The radio turns back on and the gauges go back to normal, but the DIC continues to display (some) of the messages. "Service Active Handling", "Service Traction Control" , "Service Tire Mon", and there's a couple I'm forgetting. THIS PROBLEM IS NOW RECURRING!
3 (this one is minor) The day time corner light (yellow) is out. How to I access it to change it? It's on the front driver side.
I hope someone here can figure out what the hell is going on with my car! I've just past warrantee and I'm really ticked off. There is no excuse for these types of problems. If Chevrolet decides not to fix this for no charge, it will be the last Corvette I ever own. Thanks for any help! FYI: I have a 99 A4 Coupe.
How I'm feeling right now... :mad  :cry :boxing
hmmm check your batt. connections...
Also if you were driving in 110* heat you probably had the A/C on. Is there amy water in the passenger side floor area. Take off the carpeted access panel to the pass. fuse box area and look for water there. Could be that your BCM is shorting.
I just had to replace one of the daytime running lights. The easiest way to reach it is to raise the headlights, remove the black plastic bezel held by 3 screws, and reach in thru the opening to the light socket for the running light. The bulb sits in a vertical position and must be twisted about 1/4 turn for it to release. Note that there is a lock (for lack of a better term) that must be pinched when you grasp the socket, that will allow the socket to turn. I bought the replacement bulbs from Pep Boys, which come in a pair for $8.99. I went with the "long life" bulbs. I hope this helps and good luck with the other electrical issues.
I agree with Intel55, sounds like loose ground connections or shorts in the BCM. Might even be the post on the battery that has loosened up a little and is moving to make and break connections.
I read a post today over on another forum about a lady that thought her car was haunted because it was doing all of things that your are reporting. Her trouble turned out to be a clogged AC drain hose. The water had soaked through the carpet and into the BCM and the PCM. Both were shorted and she had to have them repalced. She said the tech got a glob of some kind of goop out of the drain line, said it was plugged up tight with crap. I'd check that first, then I'd check to see if the battery has leaked acid down onto the PCM. But before you do any of that try checking for DTC codes on the DIC. Bet you'll get a bunch.
