Rear end swap
Hey guys, I've read a minority of the threads on this forum and other places on the internet. I'm feeling okay about doing this. I have a 98 c5 a4 2.73. I'm putting a m6 3.43 rear end in. I'm swapping the whole differintal. I plan on doing the seals an O rings and all that. Just want to gauge how difficult it'll be to do in my garage with jacks and jack stands? Can I do it? I've done a lot of mechanical work before but not a differential. Also any tips would be appreciated!

Here's a thread where I did this as part of a bunch of mods. Changing the diff is actually pretty straightforward. Realize you need to disconnect the intake and don't tilt the driveline down more than 15 deg. or you could crack the firewall with the back of the engine. Make sure you transfer the adapter plate from the front of your current diff to the new one.
