Hi folks, I am looking at the LG street series headers with cats for my 2003 z06 - 1 3/4" primaries, 3" collector, 2.5" piping.
Before I pull any triggers, I wanted to see how the ground clearance of this system compares to stock and to other headers?
These cars already are low even at stock ride height so I'd like to be sure that I am not introducing any issues with exhaust that hangs lower than stock.

What's your experience been?
Thanks,

I cant say for certain as I don't have the LG headers, but my TPIS 1 3/4 with catted x pipe fit right in the stock exhaust tunnel so no loss of ground clearance whatsoever. Most of the pictures of other LT headers seem to install in the same fashion so I think you will be fine.

I have never experienced or heard of a ground clearance problem. They fit in the stock exhaust location. Go for it.
Definitely less than stock. A number of guys have bent tubes on speed bumps. Something you need to be cautious of when driving.
The first two pictures are of my 2000 coupe with XS-Power headers, X-Pipe and QTP cutouts going into Z06 Ti exhausts. (Note the clamps you see in the pictures were removed and the joints welded.)The next two pictures are of stock C5 exhaust manifolds, H-Pipes, and into one exhaust you cannot see but the other looks stock. Got the images off of Google for a reference, so assuming the location of the pipes to be stock.
My headers, with cutouts are probably just about the same location as stock except for where the cutouts have their turn downs, where it is probably about 1/4 to 3/8 inch lower than stock. Have not had any problems to date but I am cautious just because the car is lowered as well. Hope this helps.

I have lg superpros which are similar to the streets... due to the design of the collector they do hang slightly lower than the stock manifolds, the rest of the system tucks up nicely though and just as good as stock... I really don't think you will have any issues if you drive cautiously... I have had mine on for over 3 years and never scraped them... I am lowered 1-1.5" and the only thing I scrape is my air dam... I have an aftermarket radiator cradle that sits far closer to the ground, it's almost scary how close it is if you see it but I have yet to hit it on anything... I have zero complaints about my lg's, I installed them and haven't had to touch them since
