My headlights are giving me fits. I have changed the gears, checked the grounds, and changed the relay but I still have problems. When I turn them on the lights they light up but they do not pop up. If I manually turn the motors just a little bit then turn on the lights they light up and pop up. They will work good for a few minutes then go back to acting up. It is like the motors are tightening up too much when closing and when turned on not enough power to turn the gears. Any suggestions? Should I grease the gears to help with the gear lock up it's experiencing?

Have you changed the motors? Could they have a dead spot in the armateur? I would be the first to admit that simulataneous (sp?) failure is unlikely?

Have you tried replacing the bumpers they rest on?
