Default Need some Clutch info.

Can someone give me a quick explanation on the different clutch setups that were used in the C5s over the years, and also give me some suggestions on clutches and pressure plates I should consider if I want to replace the one in my ’97 Really don’t have any problems with my current one, just thought I should get a better understanding on what is out there, and what better after market clutches there are. I want to start doing a little drag racing, and have a pretty much stock engine with a TNT 100 shot N2O system. I also live in Atlanta so I’m stuck in traffic a lot.

Your stock clutch held up with a 100 shot. I got around 390-400rwhp now after i put in my headers and my Z06 clutch blew last week. I went with a RAM clutch as recommended by C5Noir. It is the RAM-402 pressure plate with 3,000# clamping force and the RAM-6130 6 puck clutch disk. It is being installed at the dealer right now(i got a cool dealer who is covering some items under warrenty-slave and master but i bought a mcleod master instead)I'll let you know how it turns out. It should be good to 700rwhp.
