Hello,
Like you see on pics, I need to buy connector. Probably from dealer.
Could anyone tell me what kind of hose is that, purpose ? Going from left to the right part of engine, behind intake.
Thank you
I had an issue with one part of my PCV line but after I pulled the entire line to inspect further, I noticed multiple areas that were damaged and leaking (one area impossible to see behind intake until I removed the entire line) so I ordered a replacement this week from Gene at Cultrag - it's the entire "PCV Tube", end to end, the only way you can order it, inclusive of new PCV itself, part number 12590632, $96.
I can post a schematic and point you to the thread I had on the forum discussing it if that would help.
Here's a picture of the LS1 PCV System Sure you don't have the wrong fitting installed in the vent hole?? Wouldn't a 90 deg one allow you to fit the hose up easier??
I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I'm not cheap, but the part at dealer was $250 here in Canada. I had kept some hoses from previous corvettes in a box. I found one with 90 degree angle. Cut it installed it for 0$. I have also heard about spark plug cap, but the rubber is not strong enough from my perspective.
See result on picture.
I think the size of the hose is 3/8. You can go in any junkyard, find a car with right size and cut the 90 degree angle you need. 1O minutes later, your car is fixed.
Note : If that 90 degree angle is missing or disintegrated, the Y behind the intake you see on Bill's picture might be too. I found it when I removed the intake. This is the same soft rubber. You should check that Y behind the intake.
yes, mine was similar to that. I'm affraid that there are quite a lot of C5 out there with a bad Y pcv fitting and it does not get notice because it is hiden behind the intake.

Holy crap, at that point it is cheaper to install the later LS6 valley cover and eliminate the tubes altogether. That's what I did several years ago and it really cleans things up.
