Default Clutch Question

Clutch pedal seems low. Almost 1/2 of the initial travel just feels like a strong return spring. Disengagement/engagement point seems pretty low. Clutch is not slipping, only 30K on the car. Do I need to attempt to bleed the system? New to this type of car, have not been under it yet.

What is the condition of the fluid. Do a search for ranger method if fluid is dirty. I never bleed my stock clutch, but seams near impossible without remote bleeder. Maybe someone will chime in bleeding stock slave.

Good luck

I will take a look at the clutch fluid if it ever stops raining. Stock clutch and associated parts as far as I know, only 30K on the car. Clutch feels fine, pedal just seems low. If it has air in the system, how to bleed?

Sounds like it needs to be bled as the assist spring is actually a dual purpose return spring at the top for the cruise control switch. Bleeding without a remote bleeder is a pain in the butt and requires you to remove the midpipe and tunnel plate for access. Report back on condition of fluid in reservoir as if it's very dirty you can dilute it by sucking out the old fluid and filling with fresh stuff and circulating it with old fluid in slave, doing this a few times may help.
