Unless they are within driving distance, go with the well known and trustworthy vendors. The biggest thing is to pack it really well. Can't emphasize this enough. UPS has managed to damage two differentials for me over the years and it wasn't due to packing on my part.
Also, insure it for over $1,000. UPS advised me that once you have an item insured that high, they are handled separately and much more careful since they are carrying a high risk. The cost for extra insurance is nominal.
