Seat Memory
What should i do?
Also, you might want to disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and see what happens.
I get in and it moves to memory 2 with out even being asked. Problem is I am #1 and was the last person sitting in the seat.
Sometimes the easy entry and exit function works and some times it doesn't. No real pattern to it. Auto windows are not auto when moving down the road. Other times maybe. Do go down as directed when I am putting down the top.
Electrical gremlins like I used to have n my Mercedes Benz. Keeps you guessing and always entertained.
I just live with it.

SOMETHING IS WAY WRONG!As far as memory goes, here are some things that you can try to get things back on track:
1. Clear and monitor all the Seat Module DTCs When something screws up,, "WITHOUT TURNING THE KEY TO OFF" read and write down the DTCs.
2. 12 VDC Battery Health- IF,,, you have a low charged or old weak battery; when you crank the engine, it can cause the battery output voltage to drop below the module low voltage safety cut off. The modules shut down temporarily (until the voltage comes back into spec.) When the modules shut down due to LOW VOLTAGE, iF the modules are programable (like the Seat memory functions and the HUD) the module will revert back to the FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS. IF,, you have to constantly reprogram stuff or your FOBS loose sync A LOT, your battery or a battery circuit connections could be at fault.
3. Ignition switch: DIRTY/BURNT ignition switch contacts can cause all sorts of weird issues in our C5s. If you are having all sorts of weird electrical issues, servicing or replacing the ignition switch can in some cases resolve them.
4. SEAT MOTORS and POSITION FEED BACK POTS: Inside the seat motors are position feed back potentiometers. When you set a seat memory position, the seat module reads and learns the resistance setting of the POTS and runs the motors to match the learned positions in order to find the correct seat positions.
When my seat went goofy, I ran the seat motors through ALL the motor positions from one extreme to the other (UP- DOWN - FORWARD AND BACK) several times. When I was done, I left it in the easy exit position.
From that point, you can program ALL your FOBS to the exact same settings to see if the memory function works properly. Once you know everything works properly, you can reprogram the memory of the second FOB to what ever different settings you want.
Same thing for the motors and feed back pots in the mirrors.
Hope this helps.
OH,, One more thing!

Make sure that no one is screwing with your memory settings.
