Cyrus, I did the stickon weight method to deal with rattle on Ripper shifter and it worked like a charm for me. I bent the wheel weights slightly so there was a curve for closer fit, used twist ties to keep them on. Everything is hidden under the boot. I have a Hurst on order. Sure hope I like it!

Snowman, I took 5 quarter oz weights and left them hooked together in a strip. Used 4 strips and black taped them to the shaft, great fit, still rattles like a bitch. Makes 50K car sound like s----. Some rattle some don't, it's got to be tolerances in the pivot assembly. I can't stand the noise so it's coming out and maybe I'll try another unit to see but right now it's not worth it.

I just tried adding Teflon Tape to the threads, and that didn't help. I remove the dam **** and all is well. What the hell does the **** have to do with all this noise. I may try the MGW solid billet ****. For $45 I can always use it as a paper weight at work.
Or I can drive the car sans **** and be noise free? This is GOOFY.
