Active handling questions
What it "feels like" is if the car looses traction it hits the brakes. I notice this often when I go over rough roads while accelerating.
It seems that this may be performance limiting, with the idea of not loosing traction under acceleration, much like anti lock brakes. Is this a safety feature (to prevent lost of control) or a performance feature (to increase traction)?
What I am wondering is do most drive with it turned on and then turn it off if they want to do rapid acceleration, or is the opposite preferred?
Last, but not least, I am totally lost as to what "completion mode" is when you turn that on. I would like to get a feel for when other drives turn these different modes on and off.
Thank in advance for helping me understand this feature. This forum has made owning a C5 a real joy.
BTW, I have never owned a car that has received so many unsolicited complements. One day while leaving a restaurant there were two guys taking pictures of each other standing next to my car!!

If the car fails to go in the direction that you tell it to, The EBTCM will apply brakes or release the brakes on the required wheels to help get the car going in the correct direction. If you hreak traction and the rear end kicks out AH will apply the brakes to assist you back straight or in the direction you point the steering wheel.
When you go into COMP Mode, you turn OFF TRACTION CONTROL and retain ACTIVE HANDLING. That allows you to blister the tires and if you get out of control the active handling will ASSIST you to keep it out of the ditch.
When you turn the system to OFF,, you better be on your game! Its all you man! I dont recommend that until you have more seat time in your car..
