What causes the "REMOVE KEY FOR 10 SECONDS"
warning to come up on the steering-wheel display sometimes?
The engine turned off while in reverse one time, then I seen this, and after doing it, cranked and ran fine.
Anyway, it just started doing this, (about 5 times in the last 3 mths)just wondering if its anything to worry about?

Instead of typing out all the possibilities again, I'll tell you how to read about it. Go to Google, type in the search box "c5 corvette remove key wait 10 seconds". You can read about the cause and fixes and it will help you understand how the column lock works and how you can fix the issue very inexpensively.
