Default C7 wheels on a C5

Will C7 stock wheels fit my 2001 C5 coupe?

What do I have to do to make them fit?

Would the c7 z51 19/20 wheels fit a c6 z51 without clearance issues?

Would it look appropriate? Or need lowering?

I apologize for posting a c6 question on a c5 section yet I figured you might know the answer.

Yes they bolt right on. Over all tire height is the same of that on the C6 so up to you if you want it to be lowered or not. It would not change how the car sits as it is.

Do you think a 18x10.5 56mm backseat would work on a c7? I know this is brining a thread out of the dead and kinda asking a diffrent question. Hoping someone knows the answer. I know the c5 z0 wheels are 18x10.5 58mm correct?

Assuming on the rear, compared to the stock C7 wheel that size would extend 29mm more out of the wheel well. That's over 1-1/8". It would also extend 17mm less into the wheel well. So, you'll certainly be fine clearing suspension and the inner wheel well, but it may stick out of the car too far and you could have a tire to fender clearance issue when the suspension compresses.

Here is the calculator. Put the stock C7 and new wheel data into it and it'll give you the differences.

On the front it would extend into and out of the wheel well 25mm or 1". That could cause issues with suspension clearance and tire rub on the fender lip.

Thanks. I have coil overs so my suspension is pretty easy to adjust and it's really stiff now. I'll use that calculator from now on!!!!

to answer the question bluntly, i just bought a corvette that someone already put c7 wheels on. the fit is just fine and does not rub on bumps and turns. OEM 2014 c7 wheels.

What size wheels though?
18" front / 19" rear or 19" front / 20" rear

I have a stock C5 Coupe:
Front 17x8.5", 58mm offset = 7.03" backspace
Rear 18x9.5" 65mm offset = 7.81" backspace

Looking to put on the the Z51 package size wheels:
Front Wheels: 19" x 8.5" +56mm offset = 7.45" backspace
Rear Wheels: 20" x 10" +79mm offset = 8.61" backspace

The difference in the rear wheel offset and backspacing is what has me worried.

I put OEM C7 Z51 wheels on my C5 using DRM spacers and ARP studs to make the rears fit. Fronts are a direct fit.

yes it will fit but you'll need a 3/4" to 1" spacer or wheel adapter for the rear wheels to bring them out flush with the rear quarter panel.
No adapters or spacers are needed up front.

I did the same to mine only with C6 wheels which are the same 18 / 19 inch size and offset

Hi, do you have the big brake kit (c6z06) calipers? Im having a hard time finding the right wheels, yours look great, and I dont mind spacers in the back.
