Default 2004 C5 Electrical Issue

Closing my drivers door does not shut off the electrical power to anything. The passenger door works normally. This started about a month ago. The battery gets drained dead every time I forget to open and close the passenger door and then lock the car. Any ideas?

Default Found Solution

Thanks to other posts related to this problem I decided to turn my lights on and leave them on until the batter was completely dead. Then I charged it for a full 10 hours. What caused the problem is now gone. The door now turns off everything when it is opened.

Thanks
Jim

Isaw this the other day and had nothing helpful to contribute, it just seemed strange. Now the solution seems even stranger. Seems these cars are electrically insane at times, but well worth it
