The basline dyno run we did on the car was 30hp less than the last time I had it done. It was hotter then hell today! My outside temperature reading in the car was 106 degrees when I left the shop! The last time I had it done it was 80 degrees. Anyway, he got the horsepower back up to where it was before, so basically I gained 30 horsepower from the tune! The best news is that I gained 40 peak rwtq! I wasn't too concerned with the peak numbers, but more concerned with the power loss I was getting from 4,400 RPM to about 5,600. After the LS1 edit, I gained 60 rwtq at 5,200 RPM! That's a difference I should really feel! Now the hp and torque curves are both very smooth. Before if you remember they were both very choppy. My Air/Fuel ratio is now up to 12.3:1 and I have zero knock retard! I can't wait for a cool night to take it out and run it so I can feel the difference. It was just too darn hot today to beat it too bad. I'm a firm believer in LS1 edit after today. Just so long as the person doing it, knows what they're doing. I just wish it would've been cool outside so i could post some impressive numbers.
