Default c6 swaybar mod

I recently upgraded to the z06 c6 shocks for my 2000 c5 coupe, nice mod....would like to add the upgraded stock "mod" for sway bars but unclear which one to purchase and what endlinks...front and rear...found this site with reasonable pricing....anyone know which is the "mod" one people speak about for the c5? I don't want aftermarket.

Any help appreciated.

Gene has a great package deal on the C6 Sway Bars. He can provide you with anything GM that you desire..

Give him or Patrick a call and let him know what you need. He will fill the order without haste.

Most people like the C6 Z51 sway bars. If your rear tires are big (wider than 325) then the C6 Z06 sway bars. If you use the C6 Z06 rear sway bar on smaller tires you may get an oversteer condition.

The C6 Z51, C6 Z06, and C6 Grand Sport all use the same front sway bar. The difference is that the C6 Z51 uses a smaller rear sway bar than the C6 Z06 or C6 Grand Sport.

For end links, any of the metal ones work well. I think there were several revisions and the best ones are from the later C6's (I think 2012+, but I am not sure of the year.) The later end links may have superceded the earlier ones, so they may what is available now.

The specs and part numbers for the bars are listed below.

I put the C6 bars on my 99's and they are a great upgrade.

Good luck.

mm --- Inch ---- part numbers -------------- OEM Application
31 ---- 1.220 --- 25919502 was 10323434 --- C6 Z06 / GS / Z51 front
28 ---- 1.102 --- 20777536 was 15262804 --- C6 Z06 / GS rear
25.4 -- 1.000 --- 10339124 ------------------ C6 Z51 rear

That is correct; use the C6 Z51 bars on your application.

The change to the better end links was made on the 2013 model. Just my luck as I have 2012 links.

Just my luck too.

I have a set from 2006 and another from 2007. They are still working great. No noises, excess play, etc.

I suspect few people will notice the difference between any of the metal end links. When it fails usually there is a noise, but many people would not notice, and I suspect it doesn't fail on a big percentage of cars.

Yes, they will fit.

Any C5 or C6 end link will interchange. It is just that the later ones are the best design and any of the metal ones are much much better than the plastic end links that came on many C5's.
