Default Code PCM 440 & 442

2001 - 62,000 miles (garaged since day one at night).

I started getting a code 442 a couple years or so ago occasionally. It always presented with a "Check Engine" light and when pulling codes it would always show 442 both History and Current. Resetting code manually would remove the check engine light and code for sometimes up to 3 months, then it would come back.

I read that the most likely culprit was the Gas Cap which I have replaced twice with AC Delco unit, but the 442 code keeps coming back on occasion - so I guess it is not the gas cap?

I also replace the PCV Valve last year, but did not see any change.

A couple days ago I got the 440 Code for the first time, so the source problem may be getting worse? Any idea what the next most likely candidate would be to check?

Check the vacuum hose on the passenger side of the throttle body, they get a hole in the bottom where there is a bend. Seen that with several members.

Will check that out - getting ready to pull the throttle body to clean it this week anyway.

Just found a leak in the PCV area (new thread started here... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1588360802)

Could that be throwing the 442 code?
