Do I really need a hot wire kit?

I have a ProCharger p1sc, and I purchased a walbro 450 fuel pump. But I was wondering, do I really need a hot wire kit? And what does it exactly do?

Using a separate, dedicated circuit, it minimizes or eliminates voltage drop in the car's normal wiring and provides full voltage to the FP at all times. You're shortchanging that new FP if you don't use one.

Yep, get it. They say the pump can support another 100 or so hp with it. That alone says to me that it is quite important to have good power
to the fp.

The stock C5 wiring and connections sometimes fails the OEM C5 pump let alone installing a pump that puts more current load on the circuit. Dont forget to enhance your fuel pump ground or at least make sure that its not corroded.
