What is the solution to the shifter lossing adjustment and having difficult reverse selection. At the racetrack I had a gm tech actually adjust the shifter per the workshop manual we all read. It is a simple job. However, it seems that every race weekend I have to adjust the thing to get a good shift. Something is still moving even if bolts are tight. Any ideas?
Oh my car is out of the state on its way to my next race. Does anyone know what size torx the bolt heads are so I make sure I bring one. Thanks.

The NON ZO6 shifter box is mounted in rubber bushings.
The ZO6 box is solid bushing mounted
If you have a non ZO6,, look at the rubber mounting bushings on the TT. Make sure that they are NOT deteroriated.
The shift shaft bushings in the lower box can also go bad. Take a look at both box bushings for slop.
What shifter do you have?? OEM??
If it were me,,, I would get a new lower box, and a new or used after market pre loaded shifter.
I have a KIRBAN shifter and I LOVE IT! Its spring loaded to neutral and has adjustable stops.
What specific symptoms are you expierencing when you shift??
