Default Full exhaust system?

So I have a 2001 corvette and I want to get a full exhaust system (well from the headers back). I am not exactly sure what is needed for a complete system with all the info there is on the Internet. Anyways I'm probably going to run without cats. Also I wanted to get kooks headers. Other than that I am not sure what is needed to complete a full system. If someone could post exactly what is needed that would be great. Also maybe specifics on what brands/systems you may recommend and what is compatible with what.

Are you talking headers, mid-pipe and mufflers; full system? I'm gonna say, if you have the loot for Kooks, get their headers and mid-pipe, no doubt there. Mufflers are a very personal choice. How loud do you want to go? Many opt for Z06 Ti mufflers used. Great sound, no drone, last basically forever, weigh nothing... Very popular aftermarket is Corsa. Again, how loud do you want?
Unsure if you know re-reading; the full exhaust system consists of 3 pieces. Headers/exhaust manifolds, mid-pipe, mufflers.

Wow man thank you so much that's pretty much exactly what I needed in a nutshell. But as for how loud I'm looking.. I want quality sound with a deeper more agressive tone. I'm so glad you helped me

Over the years, I've installed many of the header and catback systems on C5's. The easiest to install were ARH's and they and the LG's and Kooks are all great performers. I currently have a set of 1-7/8" LG Pro's I'm about to istall to mate up with the GHL catback setup I already had. This combo should give me that deeper tone I like.

GHL catback

Previously, I ran cutouts with FLP headers and Z06 titanium catbacks.

I have also run ARH headers, Magnaflow catback, Borla Stinger catback, etc. There are and endless number of options/combos you can run.

Find yourself a Kooks retailer, buy what they recommend for you (likely 1 3/4" tubes unless you are doing serious other mods). As for mufflers, you might have to listen to a few samples. Do a search here for video clips.
I have a before clip here (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ust-video.html) of my stock exhaust (Z06, fully stock), and will be posting the after (Texas Speed headers, Magnaflow cats and X-pipe into the stock Ti mufflers) in the next week (as soon as she's running).
Keep in mind it's a Z06; higher compression and bigger cam = louder.

I was thinking about going with Indy pace car catbacks they sounded pretty badass. Has anyone ever heard them?
