So here's the deal. A couple years ago I replaced the stock wagon wheels with some Z06 replicas. Both front and rears are now 18's it appears. The tires put on them are 275/35zr18 99y and 285/35zr18 101y Hankook v12 evo's. A couple months ago I hit some salt piles in the road after some snow didn't come, lost traction and bashed up all 4 wheels on curbs. I need to replace the wheels but I have no idea what I'm looking for other than 18's. What width and offset of wheel should I be getting for the front and rear?
I have a set of HRE 543 wheels that I am getting ready to sell. They are stock 17 and 18 inch sizes though, so you may not be interested.
I am currently polishing them and I took the centers out so that I can have them powder-coated. The chrome on one of the centers is a little discolored, so I thought that powder-coating them would be a good option. I wasn't really ready to sell them just yet, but I could get on it and get them finished this weekend, then you can choose the color for the coating and I will take the centers to the shop.
The thing is, they ain't gonna be cheap. I want $3k for them. But, they will look like new when I'm done.
If you have active handling (AH), remember in the end, the overall diameter of the rear tires need to be 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches larger than the front tires. Otherwise AH may not work.
Tire Rack has a simple calculator that can help you determine the diameters.
