I am getting a vibration from about 50 mph and up. It's not a contentious shake it's comes and goes. I have change wheels and tires and saw no difference. Anyone have this problem. I don't feel it in the steering wheel just in the body. I am thinking axle shaft or TT. Open for ideas

By "Comes and Goes" do you mean it cycles from vibration to smooth and back, over and over, or do you mean one minute it's vibrating, then for a few minutes it's fine, rinse / repeat?
If you bring the engine up to 50mph cruise rpms but stay in 1st gear, will it start doing it when you 'idle' the driveline? Meaning, hold rpms but no load on the driveline. That can fool you in lower gears if it won't vibrate because of the load, then you think it's behind the tranny because it happens only in the higher gear when in fact it can still be in front of the tranny, just only in no load situations.
It is a 99 with 96k. It shakes back to smooth, shakes back to smooth. I don't feel it until about 50 and above. It's very consistant in the time between shake and smooth.

I had that happen on a car once when the yoke leaving the tranny had worn the bushing inside the tail housing. It caused a shake, smooth, shake, smooth, cycled about 2 seconds of shake, then 2 seconds of smooth, repeat. Mine was speed related, not engine rpm. It also was not noticeable under load. Cruising it was awful. That was on a 4th gen F body, not a Vette. Since there is no 'driveshaft' so to speak on your vette, at least not like on that Formula, I am not sure what in the tranny/rear would or could do the same type of thing. There's not many other places where you can get that sort of vibration back there. I suppose it's possible it could happen inside the TT, but I would think you'd be telling me it happens at 15mph in 1st gear then too.
It is an auto and seems to shake a little more after I changed wheel studs on the rear so I am going to try the axle on the driver side first. Yes that means it will be the other side with my luck
I have this same prob, just got new tires totally never had this problem until after they installed new tires. Issue 1 they said wheel was bent, however never been in any type of accident or curbed these wheels. Issue 2 they said tires werent true, so getting new tires again today hopefully that will be the fix but i doubt it. I am also going to try hubcentric rings and see if that helps any.
