In the interest of time I figured id ask first. With the motor in the car with the headstuds in the block already. Can you install the heads? Or Do I need to put the heads on first and then install the Studs?
It can be done but is a little tight. Put your fingers under the head to prevent dragging the aluminum across the tops of the studs, which can result in some nasty scratches.

Yeah Ive done that before on another type of motor. I wanted to cry after lol.
I wish I could put the whole motor together on the stand and then install it. But the Bell housing bolts would be way to hard to get to.
Yeah with the heads off its not lol. Heads on before you put the motor in....I wouldnt even set myself up for all the cursing trying to get to the two top bolts!
