Default stoptechs dusting?

My car is 11 years old but has 45k miles. The front rotors and pads right before i purchased the car. The rear rotors and pads were original. I chose the stoptechs based on cost, reviews and that they are supposed to be low dust. Its been a week and it seems like there is quite a bit of dusting. I understand that without switching out the rotors i might have more dust but i have driven 300 miles and have seated them.

Am i crazy?

I could be wrong but rotors wont really change dusting very much.

I bought the cars, it has stoptech rotors and pads and they dust pretty heavily. I dont mind cause I wash the car every week(I swear I will never buy a black car again)

I wash at least once a week as well but I have been cleaning the wheels daily. I hear you on black, my wheels are black and that could be part of the issue. It may have been something I never paid attention prior to the switch. Pollen and environmental dust is pretty heavy right now and that could be part of the problem.

I'll be doing Stop-Tech (slotted) rotors with Hawk blue pads over memorial day - we'll see what the dust situation is like soon after...

Do NOT drive in the rain. Hawk Blues dust heavily and when they get wet they seem to etch the rims and are very difficult to get off.

If you want a track pad that is a little less dusting get the DTC 60 or 70 pads as they dust less.
