Catalytic Converter
Hey everyone... a buddy of mine is selling me a intermediate pipe with cats from a company called Random Technology. He claims one of the cats is "dented" due to running over a rock. Now I haven't personally seen it yet so I might be wasting my time right now but I gotta know... depending on the severity of the dent will it still be ok to use? The system is matched up with a Borla titanium exhaust

I can't recall what type of core the RT cats use but they are expensive. Depending on the type and depth, location of the dent it might be scrap. Some cores are fragile.

The PO of my car ran over something and dented one of the cats. I kept getting a code, so I replaced it. When I cut it out, you could see some of the material had been broken and was missing, so it was just hollow down one side. I tried an after market cat, and kept getting a different code. I ended up buying a used low mile H pipe of a fellow on the forum. No codes since.
