Default Throttle body questions

I have a 99 FRC, it has a 90mm C6 throttle body on it. I'm experiencing some problems with the car throwing codes related to the throttle position. Sensor.

On the stock C5 TB, your able to R&R the throttle position sensor, on the C6 you have to change the whole TB.

I don't know if the connectors are the same or not, I need to be able to read the voltages and confirm there good or bad.

I looked at pics of each and seems you need a adapter harness for this mod, lookin at the harness on my car I'm not seeing the adapter harness or any splices in the harness.

So I'm kinda stuck at this point, thanks

I have a C6 throttle body that I still need to install. Aside from just the wiring harness what else is required?

An intake manifold that will accept a C6 TB. Four fasteners, washers and nuts.

If you have a FAST Intake, you will need to figure out a way to pipe in the PCV Fresh air tube. It monitored air so the place you put it will need to be aft of the MAF!

I installed mine on the drivers side of the air bridge on the flat area. I use a brass 90 deg fitting and screwed it into the plastic air bridge.

That's it

WHY ?? Unless you have a majorly modded C5 like a SC or turbo the stock T body is totally sufficient------A larger T-body on a C5 is only needed with a SC-- turbo--larger cubic inches--or a car that runs above 6000 RPM's consistently
Otherwise there is NO benefit----You would be better off to have your STOCK T-body professionally ported for $150 and gain maybe 8RWHP across the board -otherwise you'll be chasing tuning issues all the time--

Interesting.
If you have a FAST intake, you will need an adapter to put the orig TB on.
Along with the orig TB, you are saddled with the original tiny MAF. Hence the later 85mm MAF is a benefit as well.

If you have a reasonably modified LS1, the 90mm TB is a benefit. If nothing else, it gives better throttle response.

There is a scalar in the tune that is commonly changed as well when the 90mm is added.

The problem now is the fact that GM no longer makes the silver blade 90 TB. Prices have skyrocketed from even three years ago.

Funny thing about turbo or supercharging. Many have tried bigger TB's with no increase in power. I have the GM cable driven TB on my turbo 5.3 in my Nova. It was nearly free, and has no problem making 800+ horsepower.
