Default Long tube headers Clearance

I've been thinking about getting some LT Headers. My question is that my car is lowered and should I worry about the clearance of the headers over bumps in the road?

I have the LG pros and they don't really hang down at all. Maybe half inch. Im also lowered. Haven't hit them yet in over a year of having them on.

Hasn't been an issue for me at all. Lowered on stock bolts, Kooks LT + x-pipe. Doesnt really hang down much below the rest of the car, if at all.

shouldn't be anything to be concerned about unless your car is slammed really low and at that point I would be more concerned with the nose of the car and radiator cradle... my car is lowered substantially but not slammed and I have had my lg superpros on for about 4 years, I don't even think I have a mark on them from scraping

I have kooks headers and catless mids... They don't hang any lower than the rest of the car. If you are hitting your headers you are hitting other stuff as well.

All of the above replies might be fine with Kooks or LG.
OP you didn't mention the brand you're considering. My Texas Speed headers hang a fair amount below the car. I'd say if I lowered my Z, even just on stock bolts, I'd be scraping for sure.

Every set of Texas speed headers I've seen hang down low as hell.

The set on my friends trans am scrapes on everything, it's just ridiculous. My XS power headers are no lower than anything else, and looks/lg should be fine too.

I had 1 or 2 issues with my xs power headers that the vendor took care of, but if they had hung down low I would have sent them back. It looks bad and it limits drivability too much as I would be scared to damage my heads.

Thanks. I'd like to get LGs so only other thing I might worry about is the heat.

I wish just one person like you would have posted about their hanging low before I bought mine (add that I also had to mill my flanges).
The only reason I never returned them? I'm in Canada. The effort and time... and the expense would have busted my bank.

I am lowered on stock bolts with American Racing Headers and they tuck up real nice.Never have hit anything in over the 2 years they have been on.If you are scraping your headers, either you have cheap ones or drive like the Duke boys.

LG's I had would hit speed bumps unless you absolutely crawled over them. The ended up with a dent.

Get them ceramic coated inside and out. My jet hot headers are coated and have had no problems with heat issues.
