That is the correct amp rating. Don't get rid of your core until you have functioning replacement. A lot of them "look" correct and will actually charge but are not designed for the C5 to interface with the PCM for monitoring the output and will throw a DIC fault message.
I dealt with one guy recently that could not even get it to charge. Went thru 3 until I told him that it was not correct with some simple diagnostics. Went to another supplier and the first one worked.
