HELP. Coolant Crossover Pipe help needed!!!
I forgot the LS1 coolant crossover pipe won't work with the new valley cover.
So I need to change over to the LS6 style. Pulling the LS1 crossover off, I noticed no O-rings or gaskets. I have a couple block-offs for the rear I pulled off the heads of the 5.3L I have here for my hotrod. They had no o-ring or gasket either.
Called Chevy today and they sent me two schematics showing the tubes. Both styles show either O-rings or a gasket. WTF?
What should I get here? Would love to be able to keep all 4 corners connected but will end up building a new crossover kit when I do the heads/cam swap.
For now, just want to get running and the LS6 setup should work.
Any advice?

I connected the nipple to the front using a METAL "T" fitting. I use a rubber coolant line to run from the back to the front.

YES!!! There are small "O" Rings under each fitting that MUST be there or you will have a leak!!
You will also have to bend the little cross over pipe to fit properly. Not too much but it was easy.

I had two block offs from the 5.3L I have sitting here for my hotrod. Used those to block off the rear heads. Tried to bend the nipple on the 5.3L steam tube to work on the C5. Got it on but it leaks now!!! Grrrr
Nowhere to get an LS6 crossover locally. So just ordered a Trick Flow kit off Summit. They had several kits but got the one for the front with rear block-offs. When I swap the heads I will order two more fittings and plumb the rear ports as well. But this will get me up and running hopefully. What sucks is I'm getting a check engine light now but can't run the engine to test as I have coolant leaking all over!
