Well was out earlier today, it cranked and started on the first try, but after a second of running it died. What could cause that? Right after that I started it up, and it ran just fine.

Have you checked the fuel pressure, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, just sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem.

OP, if it cranks and runs but then quits I think it is time for you to pull your dash DIC codes and see if they show anything that might help.

If you pull the codes AFTER you turn the engine OFF, almost all codes will show as H.

If you have an issue that is "locked in" pull them before you turn the engine off to see if anything is C. To do that you will need to reset any DIC messages first to get the codes.

Not at home to post the diagnostics on B0512 and B0521.

Here are the diagnostics.

Clear your codes and lets see what comes back. You must post under what module the U codes are under. They can show up under various ones.

Watching to see what you find. I'm wondering if you have an intermittent ground wire that is making connection sometimes and sometimes not. I'd def check the ground for the fuel pump.

There are programs is the ECM that will shutoff the engine if after starting ---the oil pressure does not go above like 6 PSI same goes for low or no fuel pressure

There are NO low OIL or FUEL pressure limits in a C5 PCM. Ive run the car with ZERO oil pressure registered on the gage.

There is no low oil pressure shut-off. Your car will continue to run without any oil pressure.

There is no fuel pressure sensor so it's impossible for the PCM to even know the fuel pressure let alone shut down on low fuel pressure. However, if it goes low enough then there won't be enough fuel to run the engine.

Sorry for no update recently, it hasn't happened since friday, maybe I had some bad gas in the car? No idea, it's been starting up no the first time every time. My oil pressure is always great, anywhere from 50-80 psi usually. Though my oil pan leaks like most other c5s, had to add more oil a few days ago, think that could have had anything to do with it?

No, low oil had nothing to do with it.

Well car died after a few seconds again today. Had left the key in the ignition and kept trying to crank it and it was struggling, im thinking its the ignition block. I took out the key and it put it back in, and it started up fine. tommorrow Ill try taking it apart again and take a look
