Default 304 stainless

hi I am getting ready to get a set of headers they are made of 304ss I am a little worried because they are not ceramic coated they told me 303 reduces heat the same is this true thank you

It does, but only minimally. Get the headers ceramic coated and they'll look great for years as well as really minimize the heat.

I had my long tubes ceramic coated inside and out, and the engine actually runs cooler than it did with the stock manifolds.

I purchased a set of Stainless Works 304 Stainless headers. YES they tarnish. It almost looks like a rust color but it not rust. Whan they started looking really nasty I had them ceramic coated! MAN,, ,, what a difference it made. They run COOLER and look a WHOLE LOT nicer!

Drop ship them to a ceramic coater and be DONE with it!!!

Ceramic coated headers will stay looking like new for many years to come. 304 Stainless will turn dark and contrary to what some believe, will show small rust spots because of the heat they are subjected to. Your dealer is feeding you a line about both the heat and appearance of non coated stainless.

I thought you were going to get the Hinson headers? They already come coated. Got mine the other day and are very nice.

yes you are rite I was just lookin for a set that had cats. so I am back to Henson just need to find a good set of hi flow cats and a way to incorporate them without messing up the coating
