Default Rebuilding window regulators

I am trying to rebuild my window regulator in my 02 Z06. I have replaced these a few times and it is always the same problem. The plastic sleeve that guides the cable onto the spool breaks. This either causes the plastic sleeve to jam the spool or the cable does not feed onto the spool correctly. I have taken the motor/spool housing apart and unwound the cable from the spool. The only thing stopping me from making my own replacement part is the crimp on the cable end that fits into the spool to hold the cable to the spool. I doubt these crimps are for sale from Chevrolet. I am looking for ideas as to where to find these crimps. They are hex shape and .17" flat to flat and .2" edge to edge. A round crimp might fit if the right outside diameter. Also, does anyone know if the plastic sleeve pieces are available anywhere? I have replaced so many window regulators that I am tired of replacing them and want to fix the ones I have. Has anyone else done this? Any help/ info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Update: Just went on Ebay and ordered a new aftermarket window regulator with a 1 year guarantee and free shipping for $44.70. I still would like to fix the ones I have but, I am not going to be busting my butt to try to fix them if I can get quality replacements for under $50. The spares that I have gone through I paid $50 for used. I will update this post after I have installed the new one.

I have disassembled my regulator in the past. Can't exactly picture what you are describing. But I like to fix stuff so it lasts, instead of repeatedly installing cheap junk.
Anyway, you might be able to find an aluminum cable stop. They may go by another name, like pictures I am trying to attach.
