Default Finally got me a Tech2 Clone

After much debate with myself I took the plunge and purchased one.
Was going to get one through AliExpess but that turned out to be a nightmare..........Long Story, won't get into it unless someone ask's.

Anyway I purchased the one recommended by 8VETTE7 and Dadaroo.

Let us know how the unit works and enjoy the new tool!

Do you know if the tech2 has been up-dated to the latest update. Mine is now good to use on GM thru 2013.

The real live GM one I purchased was only updated to 1999. When I tried to use it on and 02, it basically said,, What the hell is an 02 Corvette.
OH NO!

I had to purchase a new memory card and find someone to log into the GM WEB to get it up to the latest up-date.

I also have a 2011 C6 Grand Sport and I had to purchase a CAN-D Module to be able to use the TECH-2 on the C6.

It can't do anything more than the DIC dash access can do with regard to resetting codes. Of course it can modify BCM RPO options and change certain PCM parameters.

Why are you getting that message?

Mr. Sam
I was going to ask the same question Sam !

DRIVER456 : The reason your getting the SES light is because something in the system is not right and it sets a code.

Your first move is to access the codes via the Driver Info. Center, post the codes you have so we can help you find out whats causing the SES light to set in the first place .

Pull and post the codes that are stored for your car. If you have never done this here is how:

Post the H or C or HC that follow each 5 character code.

List the codes under the sensor they are associated with. ie 10 - PCM or 28 - TCS or 40 - BCM etc

I ordered mine on 8/31/15 and received it on 9/4/15. It actually shipped on 9/1/15. It takes longer to get things shipped in the states than it did the tech 2. DHL was super fast.

Many China/Hong Kong companies are now warehousing some of their more popular inventory items in the U.S. and shipping from there.
I have run across this several times.
