Had this same issue on a 2001. When the codes showed up a couple times we changed the item. Both front wheel sensors and cables also swps. No change. This went on for years drove with traction control off most of the time. So finally read a thread about the yaw dampner missing a mount bracket. Its called a pencil bracket cost 5 bucks if I recall. removed bezel and hvac controller and sure enough it was missing. Installed bracket and problem never happened again.

Steering Wheel Position Sensor (SWPS). Its output is an input to the Active Handling system. Mounted on the steering shaft just inside of the firewall. If you don't have Active Handling then you don't have an SWPS.

It must be solidly mounted in the position and plane (or very closely to that location and plane) or its getting FASLE INFO.

Just got the official estimate from Henna Chevrolet. It's enough to make me almost faint. Now to decide what to have fixed and what to deal with. Any suggestions?

Totally. The only charge for the symptoms you described in post #1 is to replace the YAW rate sensor. All the other items are for other issues that the car apparently has.
Further most of the labor charges are outlandishly high. Take for example $189 labor to replace the horns.
That is a 30 minute job for even an un-mechanically inclined person. Most other labor charges are also WAY high. But then you went to a Stealership for the estimate so one can't expect any different. 
Apparently you drive the car and don't work on it so I guess you have to pay to play....
I'm sorry. I didn't make the distinction that there were other items as well as the YAW. I was referring to the price for the YAW part and repair.
As for the car itself, I've only had it since Christmas Eve. It was a gift to myself and the other charges that you see are for things that I never noticed upon first inspection. Like the horn. Never knew it didn't work until the first time I got cut off. LOL Everything else (except for the visor clips and the drivers seatbelt) started happening soon after I bought the car. The visor clips and seatbelt are just things that irritate me so I have to have them fixed. The car came with great records and a clean CARFAX so I guess my luck is just bad.
It's true though, I don't know a thing about working on cars, thus why I find this forum and the expertise of it's members so valuable.
I'm having the O2 sensor and YAW replaced, the visor clips and seatbelt replaced, and the fuel injection cleaning done. I have a neighbor that owns a custom rim shop that said he could replace the horn with no problem and even offered me a Peterbilt truck horn. LOL
The turn signals I'm not sure about. They work sometimes and don't work sometimes. Has to be a lose wire or a short or something and I'm sure the guys at Firestone can find the problem and fix it for much cheaper when I have it in for State Inspection.

Are you Crazy? Take it to a real shop. Take some maf cleaner and spray it directly into your emergency swtich with the car of and give it about 3 minutes to dry. If your turn signals start working again then its your switch.
