Has anyone used the " mp3 me" adapter? How is it, crystal clear quality?.. I know you need to put it onto a radio station.... if that station doesn't come in clear -static will it work just as good? Cheap alternative to having to install a entire new head unit, trim kit, wiring, etc.
Yes, I have used one in my 1993 Z28 with an Alpine head unit. It is a compromise with regard to clarity. I went with a PXDP and a PXHGM4 in my '03 Z06 and it is as clear as anything. Call Dennis at Double D mods.
What's the difference between this and a $10 FM transmitter?
That adapter goes in through the cd changer input so it sounds as good as a cd, he also has a Bluetooth adapter so he doesn't have to connect directly to phone or iPod! I have one without the Bluetooth and it sounds great.
Only negative I've noticed is the shuffle only seems to go to the same several dozen songs or so even though I have hundreds on my phone? Not sure what causes that, maybe someone who knows will chime in on that.

Ah thought it was FM looking at the package- is this any easier to install than others that use the cd aux? Or do you need to remove the stock head unit?

I have that issue in another car, where I use an MP3 player and connect from headphone jack to USB of head unit. It will only shuffle A-F for some reason.
Shuffle problem sometimes the firmware on the player...if you look at the total # of songs on your player should match the song 1/ of 1000 total during shuffle.
I have a lossless player that had a 5000 song limit on shuffle.

I was talking about the one 73corvette pictured. I'm not familiar with the one in the op, sorry for the confusion.

What are you referring to as the player? I use my iphone as the player going through a isimple adapter attached to the car stereo's multidisc cd changer input, I figured the problem was the isimple adapter! I've been meaning to look into it but have not yet!
Anyone else have one of thes isimple adapters and figured this out?
