"Active handling warming up" error
My questions are these:
Has anyone eliminated this issue by going through the ground connections and cleaning/repairing them?
I have seen ads on Ebay claiming they can rebuild my EBCM anywhere from $59-200 bucks. Has anyone sent theirs in for rebuild and how did it work?
Any other solutions for this besides pressing the reset button every time I start driving the car?
Thanks,

Active Handling Warming Up ERROR (stays ON) means that the EBTCM has not or CAN NOT complete its INTERNAL SELF TEST. It performs this test at each KEY ON...
That is why is IMPORTANT to read DTCs in the DIC "BEFORE YOU TURN THE KEY OFF"
Read and post the DTCs

Then I cleared all the codes and this is what I found after taking it for a 20 mile drive:
After passing 18 miles an hour I get "ACT HNDLG WARMING UP" which goes away after hitting reset and comes up randomly once in a while after that.
These are the codes:
BO-RFA
U1096 H
U1064 H
U1016H

Start the engine and read the DTCs. Post any that pop up after start and run.
IF/When the EBTCM displays the warm up message, PRESS RESET until it goes out and then read the DTCs.
If something is wrong at self test, it may throw up a DTC.

If you start the car up, and the steering wheel isn't in the "straight ahead" position, you'll get this message. Back when I was still working full time, there was this one particular parking spot in the lot, that I used to park in because nobody could park on either side of me (natural barriers). However, I usually drove into this spot at a slight angle, so the wheel wasn't dead straight when I shut it down, and subsequently started it up.
That was the only time I'd get that message, and it always went away by the time I was out of the parking lot.

The EBTCM also communicates with the BCM, PCM and RTD Module (if you have one) via the serial data buss.
Just for ****$ / GRINS and, the hell of it, try this. To the LEFT of the BCM are two thin connectors. They are the serial data STAR Connectors. Find the one with FOUR wires and pop the shorting bar off the TOP of the plug. See if you still have the issue at the same speed while its disconnected. If it doesn't make any difference, put it back together.
Next check Module Power and ground
with the KEY ON.. Should see FULL BATTERY voltage on all he fuses.
When / if the Processor has issues,, its a DONE DEAL. Nothing that you can do about it of the processor is not happy!
