Default Cat replacement

Hi Friends
I have gotten the code P0430 the last two times I've gone cruising. I am confident it's one of the cats that's gone bad and not just a sensor after the cats down the pipe. I believe this because about six months ago I was getting noises in my exhaust that sounded like small pieces of medal bouncing around at WOT. It did it a couple times then went away. But now we have a code showing up several months later. I cleared the code and it showed up the next day within a few miles.

I need to get replacement cats. I live in CA, and have an 04 z06. I went to rock auto.com and they have 1 of the 4 models that is ok for the beautiful yet liberal CA

I want to get a replacement set of cats, and not be concerned that it's going to rob power, or be more restrictive (if it's not OEM.) These on rock auto are only 400 bucks and include the midpipe.
Note: I have an intake(Vararam) and a tune.

What is your guys' experience in cat replacement? I only have 45k miles. Anyone replaced cats with mileage this low?

Ive been plauged with this same code for the better part of 6 yrs with an 02 truck (lsx engine).

Do yourself a favor get the GM ones if you want them to last and not throw codes. My magnaflows didnt even last 6 mos before the codes came back. The GM ones are expensive but you shouldnt have to fool with it again
Can always ck out CL for some good used ones. That is low miles to have cat failures a number of things can set that code off other than cats or cause them to go bad. (vacuum leaks, exh leaks faulty injectors, etc.)
Know anyone who can do a live scan on your car?

45K does seem early to have to replace the cats, but it does happen on occasion. Our direct-replacement mid-pipe with cats for the Z06 is part #448988, and comes with a 5 year warranty. We also offer weld-on replacement cats (#448106) as a more affordable route. If you have any questions about these units, please let us know!

Fouling the cats in such a short period of time is a strong indicator of another motor-related issue.

There are TONs of good low mile take off Mid Pipes out there.

NOTE. There are several different mid-pipe offered by GM that vary year to year in design.

You need to find the one that fits your year C5. Some have pre cats on the mid-pipe just below the exhaust manifold outlet.

An early mid-pipe will NOT fit a late model car. They may look the same but the mid pipe inlets are different lengths and angles depending on year C5, exhaust manifolds and pre cats ect..

This is a 2004 Coupe exhaust mid pipe with PUP CATs:
