Just wondering what everyone did bone stock with their A4's in the 1/4 mile and with which gear
ratio. The reason I ask is that when at the track last weekend, I started talking to a guy selling his
2000 Magnetic Red/Black Leather C5, with an A4 and the 3.15 (G90 Performance Axle) gear ratio.
Aside from the A4 it is pretty much what I'm looking for. EXCEPT... his "best" 1/4 mile run of 13.78 @
102mph. This seem awfully slow to me. Even if he had 2.73's, I'd like to believe the car should be faster.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Oh yeah, my stock 98 Z28 ran 13.70 @101 mph bone stock with 2.73's and a lot more weight!

13.7 must be that run b/c your best says 13.1. Anyway I am sure the guys will tell you their A4 times...I have not run mine yet.

If you go to the Breathless Performance website I think they still have my letter with all the time slips averaged as each Mod. was installed. You will find that 13.6 at 104 mph is quite normal for a bone stock C5

I just pulled my very first time slip (02 A4 3:15) and it 13.45 @ 104.21. I put the 500th mile on that night 1/4 mile at a time. :yesnod:

That is about right. Lot's of variables will affect that. Weather, weight, traction, vehicle temp, etc.

My best stock was 13.54 with 2.22 60' and 103.45 MPH.

I've read of many low 13 runs with A4's on this site.

13.32 @ 103.6 normal night. He may not have abused the car to get it low. Brake torquing really helps in ET on stock cars.

Mine ran 13.7 bone stock with a4 2.73 gear in 100- degree weather.

Stock 97 70,000 miles no mods 13.4sec @ 102mph 60ft 2.01 3.15 gears A4

This with bad coil and wires. Engine breaking down at about 5500rpm is second gear.

Ours ran bone stock, A4 3:15's at a best of 13.98! A dog! But does very well now with the mods below. :cheers:

13.4's and 5's were about the norm for me with Run Flats and 2.73's. Doing a bit better now :yesnod:

I ran my car at Beech Bend in BG this last Labor Day.
Temp 80F, Relative Humidity 100, Bar. 30.69 inches
60 ' -- 2.114
1/8 -- 8.8 83.3 mph
1/4 -- 13.56 103.45mph

The temperature when up and so did my times, but R/T went down.
Mods -- Blackwing and Corsa Pace Car with X-pipe

Bone stock I ran a 13.0. It was 50 degrees and on a well prepped track at sea level.
