Was doing a spark plug change on my 02 C5Z twin turbo and noticed this plug disconnected. It is located near the passenger side firewall, between the battery compartment and back corner of the cylinder head.
I don't have a clue, but I was thinking that when the turbo system was installed maybe some emission related component was eliminated. Just a guess, but maybe it will jog someones memory.
I looked at a few of the schematics but didn't find a two pin plug with two yellow wires. Can you double check that? That's not to say there isn't one. I just didn't find it.

Thanks. The plug has 2 pins but only a single yellow wire.
I have my engine out of mine right now and I don't see the plug you bare talking about. A single wire on that kind of plug? The only emissions on a Vette the air pump and the cats.
I looked through a bunch of connector end views and didn't find anything close. Nothing even uses that type of connector, let alone a 2-pin one with a single wire.
I'm thinking it's a connector from something that was added to the car, like part of a fuel pump or boost controller harness.

I also spent some time last night looking through the connectors and schematics and I couldn't find any two pin connectors with a single yellow wire either. None of the AIR system components (pump, relay, and solenoid)have a two pin connector with a single yellow wire.

Something aftermarket. Nothing like that in the manuals.
