Good to hear but you must have described it wrong because there is no way for the hazard switch to cause the front signals to work while the rear signals don't work...

Default Hazard switch

I went through hell trying to figure out why my brake lights weren’t working (only the third brake light was). Replaced the pedal switch, tested all wiring but refused to believe my hazard switch was bad. Finally read where you check the white wire at the switch while depressing brake, has power, then the brown wire NOTHING. Replaced the switch and saw it had already been replaced once with a dorman switch that went bad again. So I bought a Delco one. Everything is beautiful.

Well crap. I have the same problem as the many years ago OP, and really don't like pulling the dash...

Just curious, do you mean the dash itself?

Well, the dash pad. The emergency flasher clips into the backside of the center vent. There are those who believe it's O.K. to smack the flasher from the front to get it out, but my dash is the proof that's a bad idea -- the dash clips were broken clean off, so my flasher is currently retained with J.B. Weld. I have a new center vent, but the pad will have to come off to change it.

Oh, good to know. Hopefully I won’t have to go back in there because I won’t be taking a shortcut again Thanks for the info.
