Can someone pin this to the front of this thread after David Shiel's first post so it doesn't get lost here on page 3?
Can we as forum members start some kind of "group funding" so that the forum can make a donation in his name? How would that be done? We don't have much time.
Thank you very much, Mr. Sam, for all the times you helped me and checked on my progress.

Very sad news...my heart goes out to his family and especially his daughter. I lost my Mom at the same age and it is something you never fully get over.

EXTREMELY sad to hear this news.
Sam was one of the first members to help me out right after getting my c5 and having issues with the door locks. He was kind of enough to spend his time jumping on a call and talk a newb through troubleshooting the issue all the way to the finish line. I told him thank you very much and he said you could thank me by sharing this knowledge with the forum. So I did in a thread.
He will very much be missed, condolences to his family on their loss.

Staggering. Such a wonderful man.
In this day and time our lives are all touched by people we've never met, but feel as though we have. Sam was one of those people that was here for everyone. He had the ability to conduct himself as a true gentleman and form his prose in such a way as to make everyone feel as though he was a friend.
Of course his real family and friends have to bear this hurt and my heart hurts for them, but this community too has suffered a deep deep loss.

WOW, what a shock. I'm fairly new around here but always read Mr. Sam's (Dadaroo) posts. His knowledge was deep and wide and much appreciated. A true loss to all.
A wakeup call for me as I'm within a year or so of his age. Enjoy everyday and hug your family, my friends.
Condolence to the family.
And thank-you Mr. Sam for your service. You will be missed.

It is with a very great sense of personal loss that I share this sad news with all of his friends here on the forum.
I just spoke with Sam's wife, Debbie. According to her, he died suddenly of a massive coronary while at work as a consultant at the nuclear power plant, I believe it was the Oconee plant here in SC.
San Bailey, Dadaroo to us, like many others here, devoted countless hours to helping the less informed of us. He was both an electrical and nuclear engineer. Since he lived so close, I spent time with him working on cars and grew fond of his wit and dry sense of humor. His loss is truly very personal and saddening. In addition to his Corvette, he had a pristine Pantera and a number of other cars. An Irishman through and through, Sam liked a beer and a good cigar now and then!
Sam leaves behind his wife Debbie and his beloved 18-year-old daughter who will graduate from high school as Class Valedictorian in absentia Friday.
Sam's funeral will be held at Ft. Jackson on Saturday at 1100. I expect his obit to be in the Columbia, SC newspaper.
If you wish, please post to other forums. Sam will be missed.

I am so sad to hear this. Sad for his wife and daughter. Sad for his co workers. Sad for us. It is interesting that we get to where we know someone on a forum like this. My daily prayers are with the family. I am pretty sure God has a corvette.

While I won't be saying anything that hasn't already been said, I was so impressed with how well he was able to assist others. He did so freely and genuinely enjoyed helping others with their various problems. He will be sorely missed. Thanks for all you did Sam. Wish there were more like you.

It's all been said already, but definitely a huge loss. He helped me with some wiring issues I experienced. A very nice guy that will be missed a great deal on this forum.
