When the turn signal is on is there any issue with the white light over-powering the amber as mentioned in one of the above post.
I have all the parts but don't have my car together yet.
The White/Amber LEDs are for the front DRL/signals. I bought all white as well as White/Amber switchbacks for my tests and eventual choice. Those have LEDs not yet arrived. Not sure what to expect with the DRL/signals so I covering all the bases.
But for now, I am rejoicing in that the tail lamp LEDs are working as I hoped they would. At some point (Maybe) I may buy those LED tail lights with the halo feature. But, that is a long ways off. For now the LED bulbs are perfect. I get the instant response and brightness that I was looking for.
I will update what happens with the front DRL/signal bulbs.
The LEDs for front turn signals arrived today. There are installed and working. Here are the results. I installed 4157NA white LED bulbs, replacing the left and right front turn signal bulbs. I kept the stock lamp housing. There are 194 LEDs in the front side marker housings.
So the 4157 white LED bulbs function just like 4157 clear lens incandescent bulbs. Not a big surprise.
The stock corner housing where these bulbs install has a clear lens so I'm not sure what amber tint the bulb is overcoming? The stock application used 4157 bulbs with an amber coating on the bulb to make it light up amber. Most aftermarket housing also have a clear lens for that bulb.

In am earlier post, a member asked of the white would over come the amber tent of the housing. As a new Vette other, I assumed there was a amber tent. I just walked out to the garage, and you are right, there is no tent to the front facing turn signal lens. The tent is only applied to the side market portion of the housing.
I think he meant does the amber of a switchback that alternates between white and yellow with the signal on. I've have that type of switchback for years and to me it's obvious the signal is on with the light alternating between white and yellow. Both colors are easily visible.
But, I could see how others could argue it as not flashing, but just color changing.
