Have you checked the battery? If I have absolutely no electrical power that would be the most logical place to start.

If you do, in fact, have power (lights work, DIC works, etc.) then still have you battery tested to make sure it's fully charged and not bad. Then, if you're still having issues, pull all of your codes and post them here. Help us help you.

haven't checked battery, but someone on this site said grounds could be a problem. will check battery asap, and yes, I have no electrical at all. alt. was charging battery fine tue. and car had no issues after I washed it. I am thinking water may have got into ground system, but I have not had this problem in the past.

The first and easiest thing is to test your battery. They can go without warning and the electrical system is very picky about having a fully charged battery.

I would check your passenger floor board to see if it's wet. If you have a leak and the passenger foot well got wet then your BCM could have gotten wet. If that is the case you need to dry it out ASAP (remove the carpet and set in the sun so no mold grows).

Grounds may be an issue but I don't see a bad ground causing your entire electrical system to stop working.

will take out battery and have it tested tonight. hopefully that's the problem. I bought car used in nov. of 2014 so it could be the battery.

Did you ever bother to measure the battery voltage with a meter across the battery terminals? Before you go to all the trouble of taking it out, looking for water in the "ground system"?
BTW - Before a battery gets load tested, it has to be fully charged. You can get hoodwinked into buying a new battery by someone anxious to sell you one. You very easily could have had a loose connection at one of the battery posts if you have no juice anywhere, for lights or anything. Batteries usually don't go totally dead unless there's an internal short or some physical damage to it. Getting water on a battery will not kill it and washing a car will not get the battery wet.
You also could have a problem with your ignition switch but you said you had no power. How did you get into the car- with the fob or the key? Do you have any lights?

I don't own a voltage meter. cables were tight and not that dirty. battery is dated 7/11, fob did not work as there was zero power in car. I plan to take the battery in, and store will charge it up before they test it.
