That damper is VACUUM ACTUATED. If it isn't working, you may have other damper issues that you are not seeing. When you change the air vent path from LOWER to UPPER to DEFROST, does the air change its flow path or does it just blow out a random number of different levels??

I tried it .well it blows out of all the vents ,it will blow out the foot deal and will stop if you change it to stop blowing out at your foot deal other than that air come out all the vents.. It just blows ..This past winter in rebuilt the motor and had a Batt. problem so its been in and out and a PCM prop. so have been all over the thing but I try to make sue all is back were it should be but would be easy to have Brocken a vac line or left one off or it popped off . Don't know were to start looking for the right A/C lines that control the A/C . doors.. Thanks.. I thank it just a vac Problem ???

One more thing when you change from to foot back to upper it just not blowing out the floor it still blows out everywhere also so it does not stop blowing at the top so when you change it back to top it stops blowing at the foot ..

Am thinking if one of the VAC lines leaking or off then the motor has a VAC leek as well if the A/C ducks are pulling direct VAC off the manifold them I have VAC in the motor not just the A/C unless there is a check ball or something in the system incase this happens will not affect the running of the motor may not be that way , it runs good.. Just thinking out loud..

I read the deal and I see there is a check ball in the system cool . Prop. pull the intake were I can see what the heck is going on back there .I just seen this heat shield that goes under the intake 18-20 HP on the rollers dropped the temp on the intake 50% for $55.00 bucks why not be a good time to install.. Thanks for your help..

PLAIN & SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!

The VACUUM from "HERE"

Is NOT GETTING TO HERE:

I lengthened TENY TINY Vacuum Line behind the manifold so I wouldn't have that issue any longer:

From the vacuum reservoir,,,,,,,,, It goes to the vacuum controller where you (AT THIS TIME) have NO VACUUM!!! The solenoid cans are no longer being told (BY VACUUM) to open or close the damper/s and THUS,,,, AIR OUT OF ALL THE VENTS!!!!

NO! It wont effect the engine idle enough to notice without test equipment/ data logging
