Default Y2K wheels help/question.

Does anyone knows where do I find those 18x10.5 Y2K wheels....who is making them?. Also, can my current stock Y2K rear wheels and tires move to the front without any issues? thanks :conehead

The 2000 rims are 17 inch front and 18 inch rear...I would not rotate them!

You can get the rims thru ecklers, midamerica, or used from forum members selling them(try that first)

If you talk to your dealer's parts dept you should be able to get the OEM rims for far less money than Eckler's or Mid America charges. If the parts manager doesn't want to give you a discount you can get them from Ken Fichtner. When my wheels were stolen my dealer gave me a price that was better than Ken's.

Thanks Guys. Remember, I am trying to find rear Y2K wheels that measure 18x10.5 not 18x9.5 which I currently have.
So, you're saying that the dealer(s) sales those wheels in that size? :conehead

Sorry I didn't catch the size. If you want that size try AFS or one of the other wheel manufacturers that advertise in all the Vette mags. AFS and the other companies sometimes sell blemished wheels on eBay but I have found that its usually cheaper to buy non-blemished wheels directly from the manufacturer since the eBay bid price quickly goes past the Manufacturers price.

Yes, you can move stock Y2K 9.5x18 rear wheels forward ...and...NO, you can not move the stock rear tires (275/40 EMT's) forward. The tire is too big.
I believe the 10.5x18 Y2K spokes are only available from Xtreme http://www.xmotorsports.com/home/, and in chrome, will not match the stock wheels. You could trade them up for chromies though.
The stock rear 9.5x18 has a bit more offset than the stock front 17's but a 265/35/18 fits very well under the fender. I would recommend 295/35/18's on the new rears.

I run the 18X9.5 in the front with a 265/35, and in the rear, I run 18X10.5 with a 315/30. See my website in my sig for pics.

I have the same setup as yellohhh. I got the y2k 18x10.5 repros from Nate at Extreme Motorsports. He even did a custom finish and took my 17x8.5 fronts in on trade. They are a forum vendor.

The pirelli 315x30x18 are awsome. A little short, so you will probably want to lower the suspension a little, if you haven't already. Otherwise there will be a really big gap between the fendor. Traditionall people go with the 295x35x18 Z06 sizes.

By the way, my sig picture is outdated. The car looks rediculously low, I have since raised it a bit in the rear and it looks and handles much better.
