Thanks. I will have to take a look this weekend and report back.
You can also flip down your glove box lid and on the inside should be the sticker with all the RPO codes for your car as it was built. If you see a G90 code you would have the 3:15 upgrade. If not, you have the 2:73. That's if the original owner did not change it out. Checking the tag on the diff will verify.

Alxltd1,
Thanks for the the info. From the way it look on your tag then you don't have a 3.15? am I right?

On the pictured tag that is correct, but that is not my tag. I have a 2000 coupe with 6-speed manual and a 3:42 diff. My glove box is filled with the relays, switches, and controller for my nitrous set up.
Checked the tag no G90. So I am just a plan 2.73 LOL
you would be amazed at the difference 3.42 would make, I see a ton of them on E-bay but I would go with Vettenuts in case it's not up to your standards (think he (Marc) would take care of you)!! http://www.vettenuts.net/ Also you want a 3 rib dif. !~!!

Pounder,
You mention the 3 ribs diff.? Is there any other kind to get?
that is a good deal !!!! wished I could find 4.10's that cheap !!!!
You and me both brother. I'm still on the hunt for a used 4.10 diff. I think my only option is sending out my 3.42s to be built with a new 4.10 ring and pinion for something like $1200+

from I found 1200 would be on the low end, still pricey, I'm still thinking of buying the gears and doing it myself ???
