Not sure you're going to find one that works with the existing cup holder - it is very shallow. There is a product called Travel Buddy and a number of forum members report it works very well. Might want to look at that product.
I have the travel buddy that Vetteman Jack references that slips up under the passenger side center console plastic and is very deep and holds the cup very well. I have the single but they also make a double. I would highly recommend this and there are no screws or modifications required and it installs in seconds.

I have this also and would also recommend it. Factory cup holder is worthless.
Cup holders are useless in a Vette when you accelerate
Well since I've always had a drink in mine, going back to my first, a 65, I bought in 68 after coming back from VN, I think I'll probably keep spilling drinks. Already broke in the new one with a cup of Coke the day after I got it. LOL
Some would say that is an appropriate thing to say about the entire car...
Economies of scale. It's a piece specifically to fit the Corvette, which means a (relatively) small market, which means a higher cost per unit for manufacturing.
there are a few ideas on the "low-cost, no cost things to make for your Vette". Can't remember the exact name of the thread, but there are some great ideas in there.
it really is amazing how simple it would have been to improve on the original, just making it deeper would have helped, and then just have a bit of a ridge on the top ???
Good cup holder?!? The garage door opener fits perfect there When I took the car to Double D, my bride didn't go with. I used an appropriate sized cardboard box with dividers that I sat on the passenger seat. Crude but functional.
I have used versions of this folding holder in many cars including my 99 and now my 03.
They will hold just about any size cup, can, etc. With a bit of care, they hold paint well and can be painted to match your carpet. I now find stainless versions as well. Just use a few short/fat screws and a thin piece of plywood slipped behind the carpet on the passenger side of the tunnel. I like the ones that have adjustable top parts like this one. Some don't. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ADJUSTABLE-F...NW8iH9&vxp=mtr
I have that folding holder in my MGB & it won't hold a cup without it slipping out when turning. I use a very heavy rubber band to hold the arms semi tight. I don't use them anymore as I got a 2 cup holder that fits well on the console.
JRPRICH - do you know where to get that insert? Would like to try it.

All I can say is the folding cup holders I have used work just fine.
