Brown wire mod
I did my LCM5 install over the weekend and everything went fine. I didn't do the brown wire at the same time since I just wanted to see if it worked right without doing it. I also did unplug the relay. Everything went fine and operated normal even after I drove it and started it probably 10 times yesterday at different times. Today I went out to program a new key fob and the message was there now when I first inserted the key. I guess I will be doing the brown wire tomorrow since it's no big deal. I just wanted to see how it was without it first.
I see that some of the earlier LCM5's didn't have the brown wire on it and then this would happen, I bet that pissed some people off
